Who is Willis Performance

Martyn has always had a fascination with cars especially fast ones .which was what got him into drag racing and tuning cars. Starting off racing a 500bhp mid-engined VW polo that he modified which was never beaten in its class at York Raceway and held the title of the quickest street legal 2wd VW in the UK for a number of years.

Martyn then move into racing big American cars with massive engines with the addition of nitrous which made in excess of 1000 bhp. A 1969 Camaro “Joyrider” and a 1963 Corvette Stingray were the weapons of choice which he raced at York Raceway and Santa Pod.

He then had a couple of years out when work commitments meant he was out of the country a lot but when this period was over he came back with a 1200 bhp Nissan R35 GTR which was created from a standard car. With this fully street legal car Martyn managed to win the UK power tour. This national event for any street legal car involves racing at 2 tracks in the UK and also included over 600 miles of street driving, posting the fastest ever average times and the first car to ever manage a 9 second ¼ mile time.
